Happy 49th Birthday, Singapore! ^~^ *Cheers*

It's Singapore's National Day!
Although I finished this drawing only a few hours until 9th August would be over in Singapore, it will still be 9th August for a longer time on DA, so I guess it's ok? x'D
And I missed the National Day Parade on TV because I was trying to finish this x'D lolol

But they wanted it simple and this isn't really very simple.. x/
I can create a copy with the esplanade and the 3 copters removed? xP lols

Why I chose Tobi (my cat character/OC) to be in this picture?
- There are many beautiful stray cats in Singapore.
- Many Singaporeans like to feed the stray cats so most of them are quite friendly and they will let you pat them, etc.
- Some of the stray cats even have daily meals given to them by some people!
- Tobi's markings are the most "natural" out of the cat OCs that have ready references (actually I revamped him yesterday, in preparation for this piece of drawing, lols), so that's why I chose him

What are those copters carrying the flag? Do they do that all the time?
- On National Day, 3 copters would fly the flag. Not all the time.

Anyways, this took me very long x'D
Longer than the one I did for my birthday xP And this isn't even shaded, like the one I did for my bday.. I think it would take too long for me to shade this
And I drew the Merlion on the white bg because I forgot that I wanted to draw the lines directly without sketching =.= When I selected the lines and moved it to a new layer for it to be trans (so that I can add the blue easily), some white went with it and I deleted some, but some are still there.. forgive those though xP

I'm so bad at drawing water, my gosh xC
And those copters are like drawn so simply x'D In fact, almost everything in this drawing has been simplified xP And the scales of the Merlion's tail, I didn't do them very nicely xC

But ah well. It's beautiful enough, in my opinion I am proud of myself that I managed to do the whole piece by today, since I was out the whole morning and half of the afternoon.
I'm a very slow artist and you should know that x'D
